The Grand Opening of the Recycle or Die Exhibition

The group project Recycle or Die unites works in various media by 15 participants and is dedicated to themes of recycling, ecology, overconsumption, and toxic assets. The title of the exhibition is a sort of a deliberate ultimatum, similar to the slogan Orthodoxy or Death. It implies two aspects. At the opening of the exhibition, the creative trio ZH V YU will present the Garden performance — a collection of exotic plants: women are contrasted with wildlife objects; just like flowers, they spread the vital forces of nature around them. The performance space is an illusionary landscape made up of objects and bodies. The performers charge the area and objects with the energy that they generate.
