Lecture "Who creates trends in contemporary art"

Lecture "International Trends in Contemporary Art. Who Creates and What Influences them?" will take place at the GUM-Red-Line Gallery as part of the DOSTYP Charity Lecture on February 11, 19:30.

We will talk about the main international events that affect the development of contemporary art in the world. We also discuss the current situation in the art market and identify the main players that have a direct impact on changing trends. We will analyze one of the most famous Art Basel Miami 2019 fairs and talk about the sensational sale of last year: Comedian by Maurizio Cattelan. Consider the high-profile collaborations of famous brands and contemporary artists as one of the methods of promoting art.

Lecturer: Alena Stetsyukevich - international art manager, art consultant, collector. Co-founder of ARTIQ Art Consulting. A graduate of RMA Business School, Faculty of Art Management and Gallery Business, and Sotheby’s Institute of Art (New York) “PR, Marketing and communication”, “Art history”. Alena is involved in the management of private collections, organizes excursions to international art events, gives lectures on contemporary art, advises on strategic development of galleries (Singapore, Mexico), works with artists, organizes exhibitions and maintains a blog on contemporary art on Instagram @lovecontemporaryart.
