Olya Kroytor

Olya Kroytor

Born in the Year of the Tiger, lives and works in Moscow, where she graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics of the Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU) and the Institute for Contemporary Art. The artist is known, first of all, for her performances, which, despite their apparent ease, are usually physically taxing. Olga’s other visual media is collage. Old newspaper clippings, pieces of wallpaper, chewing gum wrappers, along with lines inspired by Rodchenko and hand-drawn depictions, evolve into multi-layered and profound messages.
