Egor Kraft

Born in 1986 in Saint Petersburg, lives and works in Berlin, London and Saint Petersburg in the fields of media, science, critique, philosophy, and art. Graduated from the Gerlesborskolan in Sweden, Rodchenko Moscow School, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (Multimedia Faculty), obtained a study grant from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Completed the New Norm post-graduate program at the Strelka Institute. Took part in biennales and festivals, including the 2018 Ars Electronica, 2nd and 5th Moscow Biennale of Youth Art, Kiev Art Arsenal, Manifesta 10, WRO Biennale of Media Art (Poland), Open Codes at the ZKM (Germany), IMPAKT Festival (Netherlands), Parallel, Viennacontemporary (Austria), as well as exhibitions at the Hermitage, Moscow Multimedia Art Museum, ММОМА, Garage, Kuryokhin Center, Perm Museum of Contemporary Art, Tretyakov Gallery, Manezh Central Exhibition Hall etc. The artist’s solo exhibitions were held in Sweden (2008), Russia (2012, 2018), Austria (2018), and Germany (2019). Kraft’s videos were presented at international festivals in Australia, Great Britain, South America, Europe, and the USA. His artworks can be seen in international public and private collections. In 2017 Kraft was included in the New East 100 list of people, sites, and projects from Eastern Europe who influence the entire world (Calvert, Great Britain).
