Anna Titova

Anna Titova

Born in 1984 in Ulan-Ude (Russia). Graduated from the Glasgow School of Art, Great Britain (2006), Institute for Contemporary Art, Moscow (2008), as well as the master program of Valand School of Fine Arts, Goteborg, Sweden (2010). Initially worked in the genre of authentic fashion photography (her work was nominated for the Kandinsky Prize in 2008), since 2009 works in installations, several of her pieces can be seen as full sculptures. In 2010 objects by Anna Titova were included in the group exhibition The New Decor at Garage. The exhibition was seen by curator Bice Curiger who invited the artist to take part in the 54th Venice Biennale. Thus, Anna Titova became the only Russian participant of the main project at the Venice Biennale: ILLUMInations.
